TMS raises over $5200.00 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
TMS Students & Staff on Hiller Field
Trinity Middle School recently raised over 5,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation. The idea was simple; grant a wish for a child with a life-threatening disease. The goal was clear; raise $3,400, the average cost of a wish. Under the guidance of Building Administrators Pete Keruskin and Saundra Deems and Student Council Advisors Lindsay Benz and Christy Pisula, the fundraising began with a T-Shirt sale. Students and Staff purchased shirts for $7 each. Also, students went out into the community and asked for business donations, with all sponsors listed on the back of the T-Shirts. In just three weeks and with only one fundraiser, the students not only reached, but actually exceeded the goal! On May 14, 2010 the student body of Trinity Middle School wore their T-Shirts in support and presented the final check to Make-A-Wish. Now, with the check deposited, the students will anxiously await the granting of their wish to see how a simple fundraiser can make a huge difference in the life of a child.
